What happens when the email address in MailChimp is different than DonorElf's? If your MailChimp list already includes a contact's email address, but DonorElf has a different email address for the contact, then both email addresses will be included in the MailChimp list. That's because MailChimp determines a contact's identity by their email address, so it has no way of knowing the two different email addresses are actually for the same contact.
If I add a new contact's email address in MailChimp, will it be added to DonorElf? No. It's only a one way sync from DonorElf to MailChimp. So if you add a contact or change their email in DonorElf, that change will also be made to your MailChimp list. But if you add or change an email address in MailChimp, that change will not be seen in DonorElf.
After I enter my username and password in MailChimp and come back to DonorElf's website, I get an error message saying "The page you were looking for doesn't exist". This error message happens if you logged into DonorElf using the herokuapp domain instead of the app.donorelf.com domain. You will need to login to DonorElf at https://app.donorelf.com to connect you account to MailChimp. But after you connect your account, then you can continue using the herokuapp domain.
